This list is not based on data but only on my impression of following factors:

Independence – in the eyes of the customer they do not depend on anyone else but them.
Trust – how much are they trusted by their customers.
Power – how effective they are in getting customers to change and make a decision.
Endurance– how much energy they can invest over longer and multiple campaigns.
Focus – how able are they to focus on the core message under all the pressure and distractions.
Trendsetter – ability to start or follow major trends.

 

Greta Thunberg

Greta Thunberg
Goal: motivate everyone to invest in sustainability.
Style: evangelist.
She is 16 years old and has challenged some of the best salespeople in the world. This requires enormous focus and endurance.

 

Elon Musk

Elon Musk
Goal: sell Cybertruck without advertising.
Style: CEO.
Elon sells by being in direct contact with as many customers as he can. He has enormous endurance and has perfected a powerful style to sell to customers via free channels.

 

Boris Johnson

Goal: get parliament majority to get Brexit done.
Style: politician.
Boris’ focus on a single goal has paid off in greatest Conservative victory in several decades.

Goal: sell Salesforce software.
Style: CEO.
Marc has understood the global need for more humane business approach which he immediately embraced better than any of his competitors.

Maurizio exists to play the system as a master salesperson. He is a black hole for attention who has perfected the use of criticism as a flattery.

Style: evangelist.
Watching few minutes of Guy Kawasaki video is already a positive experience. Guy could basically sell anything to anyone. Trust he gained and maintained over decades is amazing.

Conclusion

Isolating salesmanship from the product is a perfect exercise in objectivity. The best way to think about these salespeople is: would you hire them to sell your product with same passion as they are selling theirs? My answer is definitely yes, for each of them. In my dreams they are all working for us selling only our product.
