This Tuesday 28 Jan I held a webinar presenting new features in our BEMapps.com SaaS. I decided not to show the product, but to only present the principles which inspired our design. Our principles inspire all our design decisions and I believe this is how we are superior to many alternatives.
Customer decisions are motivated by various values. Many of those values are product related, but some are always related to the people who made the product. This is one of the reasons why it is important to promote the company owners, product designers, or salespeople. Their credibility, reputation, and authority can add substantial value to the product.
My advice is that you are always prepared to explain your principles which guide your decisions. Sooner or later, in every type of business, you will be asked what they are.
